Notebook‘ is produced by ‘Salman Khan’ & directed by ‘Nitin Kakkar’, who came up with ‘Mitron’ last year, the film did not make much of impact but he has been given another chance & hoping that he will do a great job. The leading man is ‘Zaheer Iqbal’, a protege of ‘Salman’, who has groomed the newcomer himself & taught him all the all the aspects of acting.

The leading lady is ‘Pranutan Behal’, daughter of actor ‘Mohnish Behal’ & granddaughter of late ‘Nutan’, coming from a pedigree of an illustrated family, she should be a treat to watch. The music has been entrusted to ‘Vishal Misra’, who came up with chart busters like ‘Veere Di Wedding’ & ‘Race 3’ last year & the film songs are already a rage.

The story is set in ‘Kashmir’, where an ex army officer [ Zaheer] takes on a job as a teacher in a school & while rummaging through old stuff, he stumbles upon a Notebook, written by a previous teacher [ Pranutan]. There is something so interesting in the notebook that ‘Zaheer’ falls in love with the teacher without even seeing her, how the story moves forward and if they both get to meet forms the crux of the film.

Shot among the actual beautiful, picturesque locations of ‘Kashmir’,  the film is something to look forward too. ‘Salman Khan’ has always introduced newcomers, some of his discoveries are ‘Sooraj Pancholi’,  ‘Aathiya Shetty’, ‘Sonakshi Sinha’ & ‘Daisy Shah’ etc.  ‘Salman Khan’ fans are eagerly awaiting that what is in store for them this time.

Junglee- Starring Vidyut Jamval

This coming Friday [ March 8th] will see the release of another film ‘Junglee‘, directed by ‘Chuck Russell’, an acclaimed Hollywood Director who has to his credit ‘Scorpion King’ [ 2002] & ‘The Mask’ [ 1994] among many of his movies. This is his first venture in Bollywood but there are plans to release the film worldwide & that makes this movie very interesting.

The main lead is played by ‘Vidyut Jamwal’, who has shown his acting powers in ‘Force’ as a villain & as a Hero in ‘Commando’ & Commando 2′. He has one of the fittest body in Bollywood & is a master of martial arts of all forms, does all his death defying stunts himself . The female role is enacted by ‘Pooja Sawant’, new to Hindi film but a very well know face in Marathi cinema, she is extremely talented & a Director like ‘Chuck Russell’ would have not have considered her if she did not fit the bill.

The two main supporting roles are enacted by ‘Atul Kulkarni’ [ Hindi & Marathi  cinema veteran] & ‘Markand Deshpande’. The story goes on like this, ‘Vidyut’ is an army veteran who returns home to take care of his Dad s Elephant Reserve, here he runs into some poachers, headed by ‘Atul Kulkarni’, who are looking to make big money by killing the animals for their Ivory.

How ‘Vidyut’ turns himself in to an one man army & takes on the villains  to save the elephants forms the story s climax.  In the between, there is a love story keeping in mind the audience interest. This movie looks to be an interesting fusion of Hollywood & Bollywood & director ‘Chuck Russell’ in an interview claimed that he would be shocked if the Movie did not come up to the viewers expectation. Lets hope that the Director does a great job.
